3 Essentials – Awareness, Community, Total Health

I’ve tried so many programs to take care of my health. This time,  I woke up.  I learned there were three essentials to my success:   Awareness, community, and addressing my whole health.

Awareness (or mindfulness)

Coasting along and not paying attention does not move you forward.  Awareness means paying attention to what you eat and when you eat.  It means paying attention to how much you move your body.  It means staying hydrated by drinking lots and lots of water and getting enough zzz’s and having a regular sleeping schedule.  These are just a few aspects of our health that need our attention. My desire/goal is to live life fulfilled not complacent.

Community

I can’t do this alone.   Having a buddy to check in with or someone to take that walk with or share that healthy recipe,  makes all the difference. There are so many things we do in our life that are in community.  Ours (Healthy in My Body)  is one of action: our goal is to make changes as individuals by supporting one another as a group and one-on-one.

Total Health

We tend to concentrate on our weight and exercise to determine if we are healthy.  Healthy is not one thing.  Healthy includes our mind, body, and spirit.

Taking care of your body includes what we eat, how we move, our sleep patterns and hydrating.  Your mind can be a battlefield.   Staying positively focused with your positive thoughts, gratitude and  intention helps clear out the battlefield. Lastly, what is your spiritual connection?   Do you have a spiritual routine such as  prayer or meditation.  Do you have a higher power and connect with your higher power throughout the day?

Do you want to make a health change?   What change do you want to make?

Healthy in my Body is a health community for women making a change in their health who want to give and receive support along their journey.   We are about, health changes, community support and always fun.

Health is a journey, not a destination.
